This site is built to be quiet. It sets no cookies, it runs no analytics, it embeds nothing from another domain, and it makes no third-party requests at all. This page explains what that means in practice.

What we do not use

• No analytics cookies, and no visitor statistics gathered by a third party.
• No social plug-ins, no embedded videos and no remote fonts.
• No third-party cookies of any kind, because no third-party content is loaded.
• No fingerprinting and no cross-site tracking.

The one thing we do store

When the notice about this policy appears at the bottom of the page, dismissing it stores a single small flag in your browser’s local storage. That flag records only that you have seen the notice, so it is not shown again on this device. It contains no identifier, it is not sent to us, and it never leaves your browser. Clearing your browser storage removes it, and the notice will simply appear once more the next time you visit.

Why local storage is not a cookie

A cookie is sent automatically to the server with every request. Local storage is not: it stays inside your browser and is only read by the page that wrote it. Because the flag never travels to our server, it cannot be used to identify you, follow you to another site or build a profile. It exists for one reason only, which is to keep a message out of your way once you have read it.

Server records

Like any web host, our hosting provider may record ordinary technical data such as the page requested and the time of the request, in order to serve the site and keep it secure. That data is not used to build a visitor profile and is not combined with anything you send us through a form.

Forms on this site

The quote and contact forms on this site do not transmit anything. They open a confirmation page when you press the button, and if you wish to send us the details, you do so by email. No information you type into a form on this site is captured, stored or passed on by the site itself.

Your choices

Because there are no cookies and no tracking, there is nothing to consent to and nothing to switch off. If your browser is set to block cookies or storage, this site will work exactly the same way. How this compares with a typical site

Many commercial sites set a cookie for advertising, a second for analytics and a third for a chat widget, and each of those can follow a visitor to other sites. This one sets none of them. The practical result is that there is no consent banner to wrestle with, no preferences to manage and nothing to decline, because there is nothing being placed on your device beyond the single local note described above. If you are used to a wall of checkboxes before a page will load, this site will feel noticeably quieter.
