Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information | Your Laptop Repair
JOB · LEGALThis notice is given under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act. It confirms our position on the sale and sharing of personal information, and explains how to make a request.
We do not sell or share personal information
Your Laptop Repair LLC does not sell personal information, and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are defined under the CCPA and CPRA. We have not done so in the past twelve months, we do not do so now, and we have no plans to start. There is therefore no opt-out that would change how we treat your information, because there is nothing to opt out of.
What we do with personal information
We collect the limited details needed to answer a repair request and run a repair: your contact details, the laptop details and the fault you describe, our correspondence, and the billing details needed to invoice a completed job. We use that information for the purposes set out in the privacy policy, we share only what a workshop or carrier needs to carry out the work you asked for, and we keep it no longer than the purposes require.
Your California rights
- Right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose and retain.
- Right to access a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Right to correct information that is inaccurate.
- Right to delete information, subject to legal exceptions such as tax and warranty records.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing, which does not affect you here because we do neither.
- Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information, which we do not collect for any secondary purpose.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
How to submit a request
- Email us. Write to [email protected] with the right you wish to exercise and enough detail for us to find your records.
- We verify. We confirm that the request comes from you, using information already on file. We ask for no more than is needed to do that.
- We respond. You receive a written answer within the timeframe required by law, and within forty-five days where the CPRA sets the pace.
- We action it. Where a request is granted, we carry it out and confirm when it is done.
Authorised representatives
You may use an authorised representative to make a request on your behalf. The representative must be able to show that you have given permission, and we may still contact you to confirm the request before acting on it.
Other jurisdictions
If you are in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, Canada or Australia, your rights are set out in the privacy policy, and the same address reaches the team that handles them.
Do Not Track signals
Because this site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, a browser’s Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal changes nothing here: there is no tracking to switch off and no sale or sharing to halt. The signal is honoured by default, in the sense that no tracking exists for it to stop, and we will keep it that way.
